I avoid Google like it has herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, and crabs all at the same time. It's the most intrusive company on the Internet.

This thread reminds me of the one where you had a problem with guys bein on the forum who don't own a Vette.
Seems maybe your burnt out with the forum James, spending to much time here when the little things lead you to post these type of threads.
Not everyone's built a car, not everyone's a mechanic, and the electronics can be a bit scary for some. The search function here plain sucks, and not everyone's a search guru.
Take a few months for a breather and come back fresh, lighten up.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the same questions being asked. When you have a problem or concern, it's faster to ask and be pointed into the right direction than to sort through 100s of threads and having to weed out the irrevelent inputs. As for me, I try to absorb as much knowledge as I can about our cars and I'm always willing to help out when I can. If the same questions being asked bothers you, I guess you should skip over that thread and move to the next one. JMHO

I understand the points made by the OP. But lets discuss something else:
Even though a subject has been discussed in the past-there are some of us that are not even aware that there is a common well known problem involving the oil pressure gauge,EBCM, or whatever. And we will only be aware of it when it is posted in this forum. Even if the posting is repetitive .
I found out that there is a general mood in many forums--and the ones that are nasty to people that post subjects that have been discussed in the past----are the forums that aren't as welcoming as the forums that show class and answer and address subjects that already have been handled.
"Class" is how well we deal with issues and people that we may find to be upsetting .
Remember: There are lots of new C5 owners that are not aware of problems that are well known to long term C5 owners. The knowledge of the new owners can only be increased by the repetitive posting of common problems in many cases.
I followed this forum years before I even wanted a C5. Just because most questions are handled with "CLASS"and made for an interesting read.
Are of us should attempt to be as classy as the C5 we all drive.
