So this is common? Why does it happen?
Mine did it the other day for the first time, except the driver side was hot and passenger side was cold. I rotated the temp control **** on the driver side all the way to HOT, waited a few secs and then turned the **** all the way to COLD. Took care of the issue, and it hasn't done it again since.

common ....yep.....several possible reasons....most common is the actuator door gears are worn...not as much of an issue in the 01 and up as they added some logic in the head unit to compensate for the issue

Mine was hot also on driver side. Had no codes so I got the gauges and gave it a shot of R138a and it is fine. Hard to believe just being a little low in refrigerant can make one side blow hot and the other is fine but it does. Has to do with a divider in the box or something.

I thought the actuator controlled the air flow. Mine for example blows great out of the pass side, but just a trickle out of the drivers side. Both sides cold though..

Maybe I'm just confused..
