Default Cleartastic or Vinyl Cover?

Looking for pros and cons of clear vinyl front covers (cleartastic, clear bra etc..) vs traditional front end covers. I want to protect my low mileage '03 front and would like to know what others are recommending.

Definitely go with the film. I have done both and ended up with venture shield. It's amazing stuff and haven't gotten a chip on her since.

I have Clear Bra on:

Nose/Hood
Behind Each Tire
Mirrors
Along Bottom outside lowers
Behind Brake Duct
Inside Sills
Under door handles

Love it. Some (mirrors) have some age wrinkles so I'll replace those.

Thanks to all. The clear bra will hopefully be going on tomorrow.

I run both on my car. It came with some 3M clear bra on it (hood, front fascia, headlight covers and mirrors) and I added some along the rocker panels and behind the back wheels.

I use the GM bra to supplement the protection - it is cheap enough and fits very tight. Maybe a little overkill, but hey, I don't have any worries about the front end getting messed up.

I heard a radio commercial today about a spray on product from 3M. Has anybody heard of this? I guess it acts like a superduper clear coat.

It's a 3M product newly out that's called Paint Defender. Here's a link to a Camaro forum thread with comments. do a search on Google or YouTube for more information than you can read in a day's time . . .. . .
Looks pretty promising.

Isn't this 3M paint protection a temporary use product ?
