Default Sick and tired!

Hi friends, I haven't been on here for a while because I sold my vert in April. Anyhow, I bought a Kia Optima because it was great on gas and I thought the turbo would fill the void created by selling the vette. But boy was I wrong! I find myself staring at every single vette on the road and when I pass by one I find myself waving (in my kia) and then I realize what the hell is wrong with me?

So I'm here to announce my intentions. Homewrecker is looking for a C5 FRC or Z06! I miss the creaks, the temperamental fuel gauge, pounding on passenger side door panel (for the window to roll down) and pressing reset on the DIC when I see the "service engine soon" message.

I'm sorry I left the corvette family and I hope my old vert forgives me...

I shall return.

The step child:

The forsaken one:

No harm no foul. I have strayed away and did the unthinkable as well.... I bought a supercharged Mustang in place of the vette... 4 months later I was back in another vette. Come on back brotha, well welcome you with open arms lol. Jay

Very nice vette you got there Jay! I was looking at mustangs too but deep down inside the only cure is vitamin C5

I still have my vert , but when I drive my other cars and wave to other corvette owners they think I'm nuts when I wave. It's an instinct to wave to other corvette owners. Your post made me laugh .

Your vert looks like the one I saw and salivating when I was on the 5 passing Irvine. A turning point I say...

BTDT. Every time I get rid of a Vette, it doesn't take too long for me to starting eyeing them again. I think the longest I've been without a Vette in the garage is about a year.

Once a vette guy...always a vette guy.

They always come back.

I did it once too. Traded my FRC for a Porsche Boxster. Kept it for one summer and traded it in for another C5. Still have this one

It's like group therapy! I was looking at V6 mustangs...who am I kidding! Is it me or did the market stabilized on C5s? The prices are pretty high!

You went from a Vette to a Kia...'nuff said. Get some counseling. Good luck on coming back to normalcy/reality.

Exactly my line of thought. A kia? Wtf? For better gas mileage? 30mpg isn't good enough? Is this April 1st?

I am reminded of the parable of the Prodigal Son. The true meaning is that repentance walks but forgiveness runs. We await to run to you as you drive slowly back; hurry home.

Yeah, Corvettes are an addiction. I've had mine for a little over six years now, and if I ever do get rid of it, I'm getting a C5Z or a C6Z as a replacement and nothing less.
