C5-Face Lift again?
Got my 02 coupe in 03 with 3000 miles. By early 2005 I had given her a face lift and after many years, shows and miles I was in a debate whether to keep her or sell her. After a months of thinking it over and the C7 coming out I decided to keep my C5 and give her a face lift. I figure in a few year the bugs will be out of the C7 and I will pull the trigger then. Anyhow the car was already very custom with the ACI hood, a ground effects kit, tiger shark nose, lambo doors and a custom hatch and custom rear glass but I wanted a few more goodies. Pics to follow.

It's your car and as long as you like it, go for it, but just be aware that a lot of Vette and car people you meet will be silently mocking you in their heads over that rear wing.

more pics later this week
The rear hatch was made by c5 west years ago along with the wing. It out dated itself so a new custom rear fascia will replace it without a wing. The pic you see is the old one not the new one this is primairly the reason for the face lift to replace a few items during the repaint of the car. I clearly understand good and bad feedback and I being also an owner of a custom c3 Daytona widebody I am not a new comer to this type of feeback. I seeked a Tiger Shark rear fascia for months but because Starcraft no longer produces them I went with plan B. I decided to keep the hatch because it gives an apperance of a trunk with privacy, less heat with no glass and it has double small humps like the Saturn at the rear of the glass. The front fascia will have special switch back lights, drl and turn signals but with an added surprise to come......look out Audi!

Enjoying is half the fun
Honestly I am enjoying this project because it took several months of planning and listening to others. My girlfriend is the one I will thank for the LED Lights-finding them but Irvin's idea on how to place them was another one. The Z06 scoop will be clean, no enblem. There are 2 seperate body shops involved in this project. Irvin is doing the front fascia project and Solano the rear fascia, hood, and repaint of car. I went with 2 seperate body shops because after seeing their work I saw their strengths. Both allow me to give feedback and they also are custom shops so they give me their feedback as well. One mod I am doing away with is the HID headlights and fog lights. Over the years too many issues.
