I agree with the other responses, polished aluminum or chrome looks best with Pewter, not a fan of black.
I love the look of the TSW Nurburgring's with the polished spoke faces......

I had a pewter C5 for seven and a half years and always found the chrome/high polished wheels gave it the best look. That's what I would suggest.

I always felt Pewter and MSG need wheel bling because the colors don't pop like red or yellow and have a more subdued elogence. I hear the word "classy" alot at shows.

A black wheel IMO would not add to the color, but detract from it. I would suggest polished some type of brushed hypersilver.

Below are pics of my CCW polished wheels and my previous set of Ace Slick Hyperblack wheels. I received compliments on both sets, however from certain angles, the Hyerblack seemed too dark at times.

Nah, that was at Costco. They have concrete blocks for your wheels, then asphalt, then a flat spot for the sidewalk in front. So I wasn't even close. But I do have those Granatelli bumper saver/roller wheels installed in front to prevent the nose from getting scraped.

My favorites are machine finished or polished aluminum.

I know, but I just couldn't help seeing the front air dam on the last pic. I hate hearing that scraping noise!

Default color for pewter

when i bought my pewter coupe it had the magnesium wheels on it, looked pretty good, but later changed to polished thin spoke with grey lug nut covers. i would not trade my thin spokes for any other wheel, just my two cents............

Default color wheel for pewter

The TSW Nurburgring's look great! They need the big brake kit to go along with them. I'd put these on my '99 Hardtop.

I agree, the big brakes sure fill out the wheel, and they work awesome.
