Retracting front license plate mechanism?
I have heard about mechanisms that one can mount their front plate to that are mounted under the front fascia or inside an opening, that will fold down and retract a license plate, or conversely, push it out from the hidden location and stand it up for display.
If anyonebody knows of any these maechanisms that can be purchased, I would appreciate a link to a website....
Cheers

I am removing mine (TX initiated a law outlawing them).
Will be available by the 18 of June. PM me if interested.

Just be aware that Oregon is a 2 plate state. Municipal and county departments don't seem to care much if you have a front plate or not. A State trooper will u-turn and nail you for it. It's never happened to me in the Vette because I put one on, had a Fiero GT aero nose, he turned around in a blinding rainstorm to pull me over. Being on my best of behavior he gave me a verbal warning. (It was on a stretch of road I regularly drive so I put it back on)
Don't know how one would react if a plate miraculously appeared while he doing his bootleg turn though Not that you'd do such a thing

I just took my third one off. The first was manual and the next two were remote control. They are not reliable and when under the car, very low.Be careful on driveways and speed bumps. My car is not lowered and they get hit. You can find them on that auction site also.

I have a friend that lives there....lots of property freedoms, but no retracting plates now! What has become of our freedoms? Next thing you know they will be putting cameras at the intersections and all along the roads...OH, yeah I forgot...they already did all over the USA!
Hang in there.....

Thanks for all the tips guys... I'm getting a Tiger Shark style front..the TS2 from QuickZO6....I was thinking of putting the plate in the opening, not underneath,.,, My car is lowered, amd on low profile tires, so it has a scraping problem...I can see how anything under the front would go bye bye...I have to replace the air dams every few years from being worn all to heck or outright broken off...With the new front, going to close the under chin air feed and go for front air feed like C6. Perfect opportunity to do the plate mount.
