Default need your input please

hello, my car is a 03 z06 that just hit 44,000 miles...its only driven on the weekends and not a daily driver, any ways last weekend I noticed that when I go from a 3rd to 4th gear shift it will grind a bit, however

if I from say 5th to 4th its fine...what is also odd if i do a slow shift i,e. take it out and slowly do a 3rd to 4th gear shift it won't grind at all..i do have an 08 C6 Z06 shifter in the car of which it has been installed for over 5,000 miles..i do the ranger method to change out the clutch fluid, so my fluid is clean..

a few weeks ago i changed out my tranny fluid with new amsoil toqure drive so my fluid is fresh, but it was doing it before this as well..any ideals on what could be causing this problem...thanks for your time!

would it be worth while to install my old stock shifter to see if the c6 z06 shifter is the problem?

Have you checked the alignment of the shifter?

I thought it probably has something to do with the trans itself, but figured a good place to start would be the simplest thing to check.

No I haven't yet.. I plan on doing that later today and seeing what could be the issue... Has anyone heard of the shifter coming out of a alignment?
