Default C5 HUD cover replacement

The "surround" on the dash that covers the perimeter of the Heads Up Display was cracking...I bought a new one and had it painted to match the interior of my '03 Anniv Red Vette. Has anyone on this forum attempted to replace one of these? I understand you have to remove the instrument cluster. Any recommendations?

If it were me I would just remove the dash pad, It is really easy and you won't have to fight getting the old one off and the new one on. (Bezel)

Try sending a PM to Steve (forum member SteveDotenMotorsports) - he's done a lot of HUD installs and can probably tell you if you can replace the bezel without taking the whole dash apart.

Did we ever hear a response on this? Is it possible?

Dash removal is required.
