No more C5 for me
Well, Thursday my 2003 Corvette Z06 was sold and is now with her new owner. (I already miss her some.)
I've got my deposit on a C7 Z51, and I'm really looking forward to it. But this definitely isn't goodbye to the C5 section. Yesterday I spent the day with my dad working on his 2003 Vert (fixing the HUD) and we wouldn't have been able to do it without this forum!
My dad said, "So there's no reason to ever have a Chiltons book with forums like this!" He gets it now.
Anyway, the C5 section has been my home on the internet for the last 4 years so I wanted to say thanks to everyone who made it informative and a pleasure!

I sold my C5 two months ago & bought a new 13 GS but still hang out here as we'll as C6 general. The C5 is still in my blood, a great looking car that 's still better looking than a base C6. Gone but not forgotten!

Congrats on the new C7! What color/options did you choose?
I'm trying my best and saving/investing my pennies so I can add the high HP Z07 in a few years without sacrificing my C5. I've always wanted the best of both worlds (convertible and hard top) and IMO the C5 convertible curves are timeless so I want to keep it.

Good luck with the C7 but buying the first production year of any GM car is a frighting situation!

I'm also getting all the performance options (npp, mag suspension, ptm) as well as the video/data recording package.
Now the waiting game...

Don't know yet. Sometime in September or October.
Thanks. I hope so. I'm going to be an early adopter so I'm a little worried. Lol
That's the way to do it. I was just impatient.

Dang, just the post I did not need to see. As the OO of a 2kvert, you know what my computer background is? C7 Z51 Artic White!!!
But at 55, with 20 years (93 -> 2k) with a vette, I can't drop 60K+ for an upgrade but you go man, you only live once

But my priorities are definitely "skewed". I could easily have a mortgage with the money I'm going to spend on this car! LOL
