First Major Detail in a Year!
I've had a lot going on the past year (working 24/7, trying to finish my 3rd semester of college, moving east 2 states, etc.) so when I cleaned my car it was only a spray off and drying job. Eventually my car had so much debris on it (tar around the wheel wells, and very messy rocker panels) that it was time to do a clay/wax job. Something that had always bothered me on cars is dirty wheel wells/suspension, as mines a daily driver mine were pretty pitiful. I didn't get it as cleaned as I wanted to but it's a lot better than it used to be, one day when this car is a toy I'll take everything apart and get it sparkling clean.
I used our power washer (very carefully) to give the car a good washing, I used a mitt to scrub the areas that water could not get the crud off like the bottom of the rockers
After I got the car all washed I clay bar'ed the entire car as it needed it bad after the constant Interstate traveling from moving.
The clay bar was then followed by some Mothers Synthetic Wax (which smells AMAZING!!!)
I usually keep my engine bay really clean for a DD but I did wipe down and clean a couple areas
And here's the finished product! I couldn't take an outside pic as it rained 5 minutes after pulling it into the garage

Looking very clean, nice job!! Its amazing what the clay bar can do.
It sucks not having the time to work on your car but when you get to give it some TLC it really feels good.

Thanks man! I used to clay bar my old ws6 all the time, I love those things! I'm starting to gain some more car time thankfully, I hate not having time to do anything to it but drive it to point a to point b lol

Thanks! I was going to remove the BSM's until I found out that they were actually an option on these and not just included like on f-bodies. I've thought about lowering as it makes Vette's look great but I'm not sure my car could take it where I live lol I think I'm going to try it out and if it scrapes too much I'll just raise her back up.

Don't worry, what you will hear is just the scrapping of the front 'flexible, hinged, cheap, easy to replace' air dam. It's made to scrape, nothing to get excited about really!
Even when lowered to the max on stock bolts, it still sits high, but much better than stock 4x4.
BSM's are easy to remove with a hair dryer, and some fishing line. A little 'Goofoff' for the sticky residue, then a little buffer magic, done!
Just go slow when pulling off!

Thanks guys! Today I filled it full of fresh Mobil 1 and cleaned up my interior. It feels great to finally be able to take full care of her again!
