Clay Bar Review....
If you think that your Vette is Clean , then think again cause it not ....
Wow what a product, after using the system on my hood and nose only...
I then took the terry cloth towel that was supplied in the kit and wiped the hood down and to my surprise I could see places that missed kinda hazed over if you will almost like it was oxidized I simply went back over to get the haze out of it then applied wax .
The wax has never gone on this smooth ...great product

I had the same reaction the first time I clayed a car. I had no idea there could possibly be that much dirt on the car AFTER washing it. Now I clay/polish once a year and between that wax it like once a month or so.

Hell I can't think of everything
I really had no intent of even missing with it tonight but got home early ,
I gotta be in Houston in the morning , you should give it a try on that vert
You can see the dirt and grit coming off .... But then again why would we want to see a bright beautiful yellow car ....

I always end up dropping the clay bar half way through the job!

I clay bar at least once a year. I am always surprised at what it pulls off.

My friend just clay bar'd his sti and it ended up dulling his clear coat in a ton of places. I had to take three hours to buff his car to get it back to good. He used turtle wax brand. I use meguiars brand and it comes out fine in the end...no issues.

I just recently used the Meguiar's clay bar on my wife's car (guinea pig) and I was so amazed with the results that I ended up using it on my C5Z. Any clay bar will do an amazing job - highly recommended!!!

I haven't used a clay bar on my current C5, but did use one from Adam's Polishes on the '00 I had - made a huge difference in how smooth the surface of the paint felt. And like the others here, I was amazed at how much crud came off when I thought the car was clean.
Guess I need to break down and do it to my '03.

I stay away from the stripes. I get right up close to them but don't touch. GM doesn't make them any more and the repo for the hood doesn't have the fiber weave like the originals do...

I have been using clay for close to 15 years on my cars (started with my 99 Cobra after reading an article on MustangWorld.com, lol), and I 100% swear by it... until now. There is a new product called a "Prep Towel" that is basically the latest version of a clay bar. I started reading about them last year and was quite skeptical... then I used one on my BRZ over the weekend and it took half the time as a clay bar and cleaned just as well if not better than clay. My BRZ has been sitting outside and was driven everyday during the awful winter we had and the paint is now like glass.
This new product is about 3 times the cost a clay bar, but they say it can last up to 100 uses, so over time it will actually be cheaper to own.
