I was browsing the local craigslist and ran into this. Seriously, only 948 miles on this 01Z? Wow is my expression

"THIS IS MY LOW DOWN DIRTY PRICE"

LOL. I wouldn't exactly call 35K for a 01 ZO6 (even with the low mileage), low down and dirty.

Heck I bought my CE 04 ZO6 with 2800 miles on it, a year and a half ago for 30K.

I know what it translates to. I'm going to take a wild guess that it won't sell at that price.

If I were a long term collector the low miles, 1st model year etc would probably interest me. But I'm not...and with so few miles I would be apprehensive to buy it and use it at any price. A lack of use can cause a whole set of other problems.

It's a great car but I just don't get why someone would pay around $20k just to stare at and wash a car.

You can come stare at mine for free and heck ill even pay you to wash it

Collector/Investment quality - . Not for a long, long time.

Even with that low of mileage and the fact that it is basically a new car, no way I would pay $35K for it. I wish him the best in selling it, but I have a feeling he'll be sitting on it for a while at that price.

IMHO, your 04 CE Z may be the most 'collectible' of the entire C5 generation. Fully loaded 2003 AE Vettes are desirable, but Chevy built a lot of them.

I wouldnt buy that car anymore than the price of a regular z06 that was driven. That car probably has more bugs/glitches and dried out seals/gaskets/bushings than the average z06. Only cars that where low mileage matters are classics that aren't computer/sensor driven.

IDK how you can pay $52k for a car, drive it for only 900 miles and take a HUGE hit on it while selling it.

Paid $53K for it new. Drove it less than 1000 miles and now is going to take a $18K hit.

Well, let's see here. It's been 12 years since it was deliverd....oil changed (evidently) once. Driven in and out of the garage to be washed and polished (just enough to deposit the most condensation and acids and raw gas from enrichening circuit in the oil to sit for however long until the next wash and polish). Seals and other rubber parts drying and deteriorating from non-use and ozone attack. Bearings enduring basically initial, dry start-up each and every time from oil draining off due to gravity and long time between uses.

As someone who made their living as a mechanic for a long time, Oh hell yeah!!!!!!!! I would jump at the chance to pay $35,000.00 for this brand new Z06!!!!!! Where does the line start? Should I bring camping gear?

Pleeeeeaaaaase!!!!!!!!!!!!

More like a $23k hit. If you're going to buy it to drive it do you really care if it has 1k or 10k miles on it? I wouldnt pay an extra $5k just to get one with 1k on it. He should be happy if he gets $30 for it. It even has the original tires!!! Now hard as a rock and unsafe to drive on but original! Lol. And that was the 'rarest' color combo?? I would think red is one of the most popular colors, the mod red interior makes it a little more rare but I cant beleive it was the rarest for 01.
