I got my Vette at 62 so good for you! Don't like chrome "spears" either. It's your car but my 2cts wouldn't let me paint shiny wheels black but I'm sure you have your reasons. Don't forget to drive it once in awhile; mods will always be around.

Hey, we're close to the same age, I was born in '80 . I just got my '98 in October, been daily driving her every day since the road salt washed away .
Congratulations!! Btw, I like my BSMs, hehe. Good call on the fins, though. And be thankful you got the nice rims, I would love to have your rims in any color; I have the yawn-inducing original rims.

Btw, you didn't tell us about her heritage? Year? Miles? Any cool/unique touches from the previous owner that you did like?
