Beautiful car, makes the jet look old. Wish the weather was like that here instead of 30 degrees with the Vette hibernating in the garage.

You sure you have the right offset for the rear? Looks like they are past the fender like crazy. May just be the angle. Either that or you need the wide fender conversion to match those wheels. The fifth picture almost shows the entire width of the tire.

Agree with STRRMLNE on the wheel offset for the rear though.

Other than that... looks real good!

oh Wow! Was this the look you were going for? Or are you going to get new wheels that fit?

Those are new wheels. No spacers. The tire pokes maybe 1/4" at the top. It looks like more because there is no splash guard on the back so there is a lot of exposed tire.

Oh my bad. I like the mud flap look. Reminds me of the old Baja 911 off road cars.

Are you sure they only poke by 1/4"...? I'm with STRMLNE, it looks like they're way out past the fender flare. But it may just be the angle? Any direct rear shots?

Can you still return the rears? I think they messed up. With wide fenders these shouldn’t stick out that much. Unless you’re turning this into a drag car with forced induction and nos those rear tires are obnoxious.

I've been following your channel and like what you've done and appreciate all the how-tos. But to go through all the trouble and expense, especially since I'm pretty sure those wheels are built to order - I think they should be perfectly flush with the extended fender edge. If you are happy with the results, then never mind me

I think many of us are bitter because our cars are put away for the season.

What channel? YouTube? Yeah I agree. I mean you went through the trouble of doing wide fenders, why not get the appropriate wheels? I’m not one for the low rider potruding wheel look but to each their own.

Agreed. If you paid the price for brand new custom wheels, they should not be sticking out AT ALL unless you requested them that way or you personally supplied bad measurements. Buying used wheels that don't fit perfect is a different story. There's no way in h*** I'd accept ill fitting wheels if I paid the price for a custom set up.

I think this is the look Chris was going for I happen to find the wheels and offset quite tasteful...

Your youtube video answers all these questions very well. I am now a subscriber to your youtube channel.
You got your wheels the way you want them and you are happy with the look, the fit and the results all the way around.
I'm for doing what ever makes you the owner happy.
My vette is done the way I like it.

Vince

I have been following Chris for awhile now, this is the look he wanted for his personal choice as stated in the video. everyone like different things. I go to shows and watch different videos for ideas and appreciate good how to videos Chris makes for the common person. Thanks Chris and keep it up. I will post my project C5 when it comes out of winter hibernation. Waiting for a load of parts to take to the body shop and paint.
