Z06 Passenger Seat Track
The passenger seat in my '02 Z06 moves back and forth about 1/4", drives my wife crazy. It doesn't bother me because I don't sit there!
Anyway, I pulled the seat out and can see that there is a lot of play in the track. Is anyone familiar with this problem and aware of a fix?

Sounds like the infamous "seat track rocking". Here's a page regarding information on a DIY to get the issue fixed. Personally my driver side had the same problem. The fix below cured it.

You are correct racebum, it is the manually adjusted passenger seat of my Z06, so definitely not the infamous "seat track rocking".
I have removed the seat and pulled a track off. The problem appears to be excess play in the latching mechanism, two metal tabs that engage holes in the sliding track to lock it in position. I am trying to disassemble the track but it is very difficult. The tracks appear to be stamped together during the assembly process.
