Did I really Just Spend $11K on Mods?
Ok I haven't spent much on her in a the last three years but in the last month have gone through 11 grand! New wheels & tires $3600, new RPM trans & steel flywheel and Mike Norris tune $4K+, Caravaggio Blower Hood and rear spoiler $3,200 with paint.
Maybe I should have just sold her and bought a C6?

Perhaps another example of having over $30k invested in a $15k car. You are in good company and will be encouraged by fellow members, supporting vendors and JC Whitney.
It will be special. It will be yours. It will be worth less than a unmolested car when you are all done. You might justify this if you spend a lot of time at the track. On the street, if you ever use the available Horsepower and are able to keep it connected to the road you will either hurt yourself, someone else or end up in jail. Have fun with that!

As you can see from my post I stated I spent $11k Not Invested $11K. I do not look at my car as an investment. If you are expecting a financial return on your C5 good luck with that.
Jail BTDT
cheers john

Sooooooooooo. the original question was "Maybe I should have just sold her and bought a C6?" Maybe you shouldn't ask a question like that if you don't want a truthful answer. Clearly a C6 is more desireable than any molested C5

Just taking a wild swing that DDaaryl is a purist whom has a lawn chair to tout at car shows his 100% oem(even gm brand oil) 1 of 200,000 c5 with no real investment value. He probably knows that his exact optioned car is 1 of 2,568 and finds telling every peon bystander that fact way more adrenaline packed than say.... Driving an F1 car, flying a F22, skydiving with a jet pack, being shot from a submarine torpedo tube, saving the world from an inbound asteroid, or even discovering how the universe began.

This mod thing is definitely addictive. I've had this Corvette for 5 months or so and have spent close to $3600 on mods. $1300 this week on an intake manifold and a scheduled dyno later this month. Many of the parts are resale-able which helps a little. Get used to it...you're going to spend more!
