Great looking Z!! Wow lots of new Z's around lately. Congratulations!!! I love C5 Z's. They are up there as one of, if not the, most beautiful Vettes ever made. I know that you will have a blast with yours. Enjoy!!!!!!

read the valve spring thread when you get a chance. if you're still on stock springs it's not a bad time to switch them out and never wind up on the list of shame

Dang that's a good looking Z. Hopefully you didn't get ripped by the dealer. What kind of boost is it pushing? Any numbers? Mod red interior???....if not you should swap it out it looks great in silver Z's. shoot it looks good in any Z lol

Crap. With a build date of 2/02 looks like I'm in the Danger Zone. The car came with a box full of receipts and there's nothing in there about valve springs. The other mods were done at LG motosports in '03.

springs are cheap. a new set from GM is $65 and would be the way to go if you're not changing cams
if you plan on going to a large cam down the road the pac 1218 is also very popular
typically you want to run as little spring as possible as long as it's able to control the valve. the new gm springs are rated to 570 lift which is ideal for the 550 cam you have stock. more spring pressure is harder on the lifters, rockers and robs slight amounts of hp

Are these what one would want for a stock 03 Z??

yes. that's the latest GM part number for our replacement springs. if you have the dealer check they will show a single part number. what i gave you is a kit of 16
http://paceperformance.com/i-6255315...set-of-16.html
notice in the link where it says a set of 16 of part number 12625033
12625033 is the OE replacement spring number for the ls6 engine
12499224 is a much better deal since you're buying a pack of 16 versus singles
i have an 02z and am picking up the same springs at my local gm dealer this monday so i can change mine out as well

i think you're doing the right thing spending the 60 some dollars on a new set. i know i'll sleep easier
