Default 19 inch chrome replica Z06 wheels - where to buy?

Hey Guys,

I have a 2002 Z06 and I would like to install the C6 Z06 big brake. Therefore I would go with my stock chrome 18inch rims in the rear to the front and I would need some 19 inch chrome replicas in the rear (I love the staggered look). The tire size I would choose 265/35/18 front and 305/30/19 rear, tires Hankook Ventus V12.

What do you guys think about this setup?
Anybody some suggestions where I can find the 19 inch replicas, I don´t find them.

Thank you guys.

What is the width of your 18" wheels? The stock rear Z06 18" wheels are 10.5" wide, which is kind of pushing a 265 mm wide tire.

I will have to check this again but I think it´s also 10,5 wide. Would a 265mm tire work then or do you have to go bigger?

Also, for the 19 inch rim, I would go by 11 wide. Is the wheel then closing with the fender? Is 305mm the right wheel size?

Thank you.

You could run a 275/40 on the front.

You mean 275/35/18 in the front right? I will gvie House of Wheels tomorrow a call, let´s see what the specifications (weight) of the wheels are. I currently have on the rear 295/35/18 so I assume that the width is 10.5, but I will verify at the weekend

Sounds great, that´s exactly the same combination I´m looking for. How wide are the rims in the front (10,5?) and in the rear (11?) Are they sticking out? Is your car lowered? Do you have by a chance pictures?

Thank you, Rouven.

Correct 40=17 / 35=18 my bad.

I run 275 on the front of mine because bfg only made 255 or 275. They look fine

When upgrading to a 18/19 combo the best tire sizes to go with are:

1.) 265/35/18, and 305/30/19.
2.) 275/35/18, and 305/30/19.

The 265 or 275 tire will be best run on a 9.5" or a 10.0" front wheel.
The 305 tire will be best run on a 10.5 or a 11" rear wheel.

Nitto Invo's run a little narrow so your not the first I have heard running a 325/30/19 on the rear with no stick out issues.

My old Continental's ran EXTREMELY wide for a 305 tire.

My New Bridgestone RE-11's are not as wide as my old Continental's.
My RE-11's are a softer compound and stick WAY better though

Here is a comparison of how some tires are wider than others.
Even though they are the same size.

The Nitto Invo in 305/30/19 is even narrower than my Bridgestone RE-11's

Something to keep in mind when tire shopping.

305/30/19 Continental on the left.
305/30/19 Bridgestone RE-11 on the right.

See how "DEEP" the wheel lip sits inside the Continental tire on the left ?

Hi toque,
Thanks for your input! Since I want to upgrade later to the c6Z06 big brake I think I wil need in the front a wide of 10.5, this is exactly the rear tire size right? So I will put the rear tires upfront. In the rear I would then run 305/30/19 with 11 wide, I think this would be a great combo and ensures the use of the big brake!
Do you have any tire recommendation for me? I thought about the hankook v12, they are very affordable.

Thank you, Rouven.

If you put the stock rear 10.5" Z06 wheel in the front it will stick out.
Just from what I have seen anyways.

I would ask around with people that have C6Z06 brakes and find out what clearances your going to need. Find out what size wheels they are running etc.... I would think a 18x10, and 19x11 would fit the C6Z06 brakes. It depends on the wheels too of course. Deep dish wheels will have limited clearances for big brakes.

I have heard mixed reviews on the Hankook's. On the forum I have heard great things. From friends locally they told me I would not like them. They told me that the side wall is too soft and do not inspire a lot of confidence in turns. I ended up going with the RE-11 tires and am amazed at the grip level and overall performance.

Toque,

thanks a lot again, I was also reading on your homepage, nice work!!
Since I already have the 18 10,5 wide rims in the back and I want to keep the same style, I will put them in the front with 275/35/18 tires! I will then put in the back 305/30/19*11wide tires, perhaps go a little bit bigger without sticking out.
I need to figure out which tires will work since I need some special tires in the case I go back to Germany...one day. I think there is some kind of approval mark on the tire itself...stupid laws

I will post pictures and write a small review. Is there somehow an option to figure out if the rear tires are 10,5 wide without taking them off? Current size on them is 295/35/18..thanks a bunch.

Looks nice! I will go with 305/30/19*11 in the rear Michelin Super Sport and 275/35/18*10,5 Michelin Super Sport. But these damn tires are $1.500 ah...

I called them but no reply so far. I think I will go with the Ruff´s since they are TÜV legal in Germany and the big brake fits too.... hm sad...

Default z06 replicas

You could always get the back wheels from corvette-wheels.com in black and have them chrome plated. They still offer the 19x11 c5 z06 replicas. and they arent the ones with the rivets either. Id say if i had to have the c5z replicas in the 18x9.5 and 19x11, id buy the front 2 in chrome and have the back 2 chrome plated to match! I hope that helps!
