You dont have to be young to enjoy Life...Hell, I thought when i was young i was doing some crazy sheeat but until I turned 40 i didnt realize how much Fun I had passed right by wish I had slowed down a bit and noticed it earlier.

Great thread! Some of you guys are nothing like I imagined and some of you are exactly as I imagined!
Here's me and my vert last spring the day I bought it....taken somewhere between St. Louis and Indianapolis. I bought the car in St. Louis and drove it home.. First time I ever drove a stick was the night before lol... I borrowed a girl I work withs 5 speed turbo beetle convertible and drove it around town.....next morning got up and drove 5 hours to pick up the vet..... You should have seen the guys face I bought it off of when I told him I've never had a manual and the first time I'd driven one was the night before
You all know where this was taken ; )
In front of RPM transmission's shop one of the forum sponsors. Their shop is about 5 mins from my house. I always make a point to drive through and take a peek at what they're working on....truly amazing cars and work these guys do!!

And here's how she looks 1 year after purchase
