Driver seat moving
My 1998 vert has a loose driver seat. It moves about 1/2 inch when I break harder than normal. Is that normal and can it be fixed?
I have the 6 way adjustable power seats.
Thanks.

Do a search using the key words "rocking seat".

You can fix this by replacing the shims in the seat. You can get them on ebay for around $10 but you can get the same nylon shims at Home Depot cheaper. There is another kit for around $80 that includes the rear flanges that sometimes break.

Lots of posts have been made on this topic - it's a common problem on the C5s. I have a number of Word files that discusses the problem and remedy - if you'd like a copy of them, just PM me your e-mail address.
