"Thats what Corvette guys do."Big thanks to Vetfeva2
I purchased my 01' Z back in April and while capable of learning, I had no clue how to do any 'DIY' maintenance or installs. A local c5 owner (Vetfeva2) caught me on this forum and next thing you know he was at my place showin' me his vette (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...es.html).Sweet ha?
Anyway he told me if I needed help doing some work on it, I could come by his garage and he would help, no worries. I said I didn't want to trouble him but he insisted and replied "Thats what Corvette guys do."
I texted him today in hopes that he could help me install an MGW shifter when i got it and mentioned I was gonna try installing a Vararam intake. He was already in his garage shinin' calipers and said I could swing the car by and he would help (knowing its a PITA)
Sure enough I swung it by and he basically did the whole damn thing! Jeez man. I helped with what I could or whatever he asked but he kinda' just took over. He mentioned he wanted to try the install out since he's always been curious from reading about it.
I couldn't be more fortunate to have such a nice person come across me on this forum, offer me help and actually follow through 110%. I owe the man for sure, it was a bit of a pain and it took some hours. I also owe Corvette Forum because without it, I wouldn't know s**t. This is a good place and the Corvette is an awesome car to start learning on.
The intake is great now that we finally got it on. You can really hear that thing SUCKIN the air up when you stand in front of the car.
I love it!
Thanks again to Vetfeva2 and Corvette Forum. I owe much of all this new excitement to them! Whaaam! WHAAAAAMM!!

Thanks man, but I got a lot out of the install. It was not half as bad as I was anticipating. Besides, I don't have much to do on my car anymore (at least that is what my wife tells me), so working on any Vette is cool with me. Let us know if you can a difference with the new Vararam and VR2 air bridge.

Wow! Beautiful girl. You should put something in the back ground of that photo. Oh, like a red Corvette, or something for contrast. Maybe you could photoshop something in....
And then, kudo's to the OP and his neighbor/friend for helping in such an unselfish way with his Vette mod. I pray for a neighbor like that, some day.
