I use diesel fuel. You can get it lots of places, and truckers are always willing to share.

I believe ive heard of some guys with heavy performance mods getting their cars tuned to run e85. If hes not joking I would guess thats the case here. However, given the which air is best in the tires thread from yesterday, I would guess this thread was meant to be a joke as well, but most are taking it seriously.

It will run on E85. and run very well. Just watch the tune.

We are getting a few more stations with 98 octane around too.

Congratulations Dave, you are the Winner!!!!

I posted this thread to really see how people would react and also reply!

I have a boosted car with meth and I have to run 93 in my car as my tune requires it!

There have been so many ridiculous threads in general that I just had to see if all of you would fight over gas! My favorite threads are, run flats, what oil to use, how much oil do I use, Nitrogen in the tires, how do I store a car, how do you lift a Vette, what wax should I use, whats the best washer fluid, who has the best light bulbs.................Blah........Blah.. .....Blah..........

People need to learn how to search to find their answers!

Not to mention there is no right answer to any of those. Everyone uses whatever they comfortable with due to prior use or a study or what dad always used or whatever. It's really all about the same, whether it air, gas, oil, etc. How heated the discussions become is good entertainment, though. Thats really the only reason I even clicked on this thread.

[QUOTE=calvins;1583139437]Because I'm no automotive design engineer and don't try and kid myself that I know better than they do. They designed the car to run on premium so that's what it gets, period. If I have to worry about a couple bucks per tank, I should have bought a Kia or something.

That being said, hey man....... your car, your decision. Who knows who will be proven right in the end? I'm no engineer either and I just want the peace of mind of knowing if I use the recommended gas, it's (hopefully) one more thing I can eliminate from the worry list of what might be causing future problems with my toy.

We mostly use Chevron because it's close to the house. Can only get 91 octane in this area. I too have thought of using a lower octane. When I mentioned it on the forum I got lit up. You are a brave man Blitzkrieg!

Shell V Power , with occasional Techron added.
Seems to keep the Gas Gauge in ck..

Regarding ethanol 10% or < blend -- what are the long term effects on the
LS1 ?

Jet fuel if you can get it. I use 93 or hotter from Shell and pop in a bottle of Techron every few months.
