He is pricing himself out of sales if that's the correct price point.

Definitely. It's a nice idea, but not for $300/set.

Kind of thinking about this one soon since it's portable and doesn't have the center crossbars so I'll have the space for exhaust/torque tube/transmission work. The 38" lift height is enough to work with stock axle-backs as well. Kind of pricey but it would pay for itself over the years.

I've been toying around with the idea of a lift for years!!! That looks like a good alternative. That woud work for me as my garage ceiling would never allow for a 2 post or 4 post as I could never lift them all the way up.....

I figure that lift should be fine if you use it with lifting pucks to save the rockers.

Just got an email from the guy. c5mtl wasn't far off on price point. Email is below with the details for those who were curious. Not quite what I was hoping for. Guess I was too optimistic with the maximum height. Needless to say, I'll be passing and waiting to save up for a lift.

Hi Brandon,

The price for a pair is $280.00, shipping is not included. I’m working on a web site and hope to have it completed soon. I am still taking orders, just let me know if you are interested.

The stand is made of 12ga. steel and has a black powder coated finish. The dimensions are 11”wd. 18”lg. and 8"high, and the total height when lifted is 13.5 inches. It locks into position with four .375 inch spring loaded locking pins. The tire pan size is 11"x11" and 1.5" deep. It weighs 33 lbs. with a maximum load rating of 2000 lbs. Four stands can support a car weighing up to 8,000 lbs.

Next order will be available in 2 to 3 weeks.
Paypal or check for Payment.

Thanks, Bill Gibbs

I like them but it looks like they could easily be fabricated with some metal and a MIG

I like my KwikLift, but this has some advantages over that (and some disadvantages). Of course KwikLift is NLA.

If these were about $450 for a set of 4 shipped, I might be jumping on them, if they were proven to be safe. I could see using them actually more often than my KwikLift for certain jobs just due to their portability -great idea!

Looks very interesting, but I do agree they are pretty pricy.

Default Race Ramps

Race Ramps make the same thing and in different heights. Also alot less expensive and lighter also. There called Wheel Cribs and come in 8, 10 and 12 inch heights.

Just took a look at these. Thanks for the heads up. Definitely worth considering since it's less than half the price for a set.

If you are planning to get four wheel cribs, you should consider getting at least one set of the 2-piece wheel cribs. That way you can raise one end half way, still fit the floor jack under the opposite end, raise that end the full height, and then go back to the first end to add the second half of the wheel crib.

You should also confirm that your floor jack has enough range to get the clearance you need for the height of wheel cribs you purchase. Worse case is that you would need the 2-piece wheel cribs on both ends so that you can add a spacer on top of the floor jack after you have the car sitting on the first half of the wheel cribs.

Wonder if you placed an Ibeam between the two sides if you could then lift the whole end at a time... Vs going from wheel to wheel...

Still its a nice tool!

But for 600 bucks... I'll make my own set

Ditto!

I think an 80" long I-beam would be too heavy and awkward to handle. Not to mention it would probably need a fairly high cross section in order to handle the weight.

Or this, strictly for minimal height stuff though if you use it on the ground. People have all kinds of ideas. This seems like it has the potential to ruin the wheel studs though.

Huh.. found this... Who needs a DIY project!
http://www.carlift-ramp-mr1.com/

Needs a lil "beefing up" ( thoes tiny bolts up front scare me)...but it an example of what you could do yourself...

You could extend the reat lift point.. and add a front lift point (the ones between the rails) beyond the car... since we dont have allot of ground clearance..
and once up support the rails with jack stands... Im thinking 6 ( at the corners and in teh center of each rail) would do the trick

Poor man's KwikLift:

I like all 3 for the other jacking solutions in this thread so far - I can see having a use for ALL THREE for various projects - especially if you don't have the room or ceiling height for a lift.
