Default C5 suspension upgrade

Hello everyone,
I think it is time to upgrade the suspension on my 98.
I lowered the car about 1.5 inches more than 6 years ago. I think this has caused excessive wear on the suspension and the ride has become rough.
I would like to know what you guys have in mind as far as upgrading the suspension. I was thinking on shocks and sway bars but I am not sure.
Thanks for the help

I have the Pfadt racing JOC suspension upgrade. My next suspension purchase will be coil over. Smoother ride, it's height and softness adjustable, and an all around better setup

I started off with dumping the run-flats. That made one heck of a difference in the ride quality. Since, I have added Pfadt coilivers, C6Z51 sways with HD end links, a stiffer tunnel plate (mine is a convertible). It now rides very smooth and handles better than I could have ever hoped for

Thanks everyone for the advice.
I should have given a little bit more feedback on the car.
I lowered about 1.5" and have 19" rims w/o run-flats. The car has about 73K miles and has been lowered for about 7 or 8 years and does not have the F45 suspension.
I was looking into the Johnny O'connell stage 1 but don't know much about it. I wonder if these shocks or the Pfadt could be used with lowered cars. Also, how do you adjust the height on the Pfadt?
Thanks again.

Mine is lowered as well. Did the GM Z06 shocks with the GM Z51 sways. For the price you can not go wrong and you WILL notice a significant improvement in ride quality and handling. If you want to spend 500 dollars more than you can go with the Johnny O stage 1 kit. Both good options. Don't forget to upgrade your end links with the all metal ones. My vote is for the GM Z06 and Z51 Package. Good luck either way, all good options for lowered cars!!

Yes, no problem with lowered cars

You adjust the height the same way you would with a stock car

Would switching to the C6 Z06 shocks or the Johnny O' shocks have any effect on the height of the car?
I dont think the shocks determine the height but I could be worng.

Different shocks take a different set after a few hundred miles.

The JOC shocks tend tonset in at about 1/4 inch lower tan stock.
but
remember, if your shocks are old, thy are probably lower than
when they came out of the factory.

You can adjust the stance of the car using the factoy bolts, up or down

I installed C6 Z06 sway bars and Pfadt Featherlite coil overs last summer on my 04 & couldn't be happier with the ride .

My 99 was lowered with stock suspension parts. After the JOC stage 1, I noticed it to be slightly higher due to my old shocks being worn. Now the car corners like its on rails. The shocks are a little stiff, but you get use to it.

Other owners who did the Z51 sway/Z06 shock upgrade reported rubbing at the bushings. Did you have this problem?
