I've been a member here for sometime ....
And to my knowledge there has always been what I tell my wife is the normal guys , Biil,Vetteman , Calvin , Randy , Max , Vettfeva , Mefly.,
BK , Maxx ,etc .... But with that said this past week and weekend there has been a real surge in members stepping up and coming into more of the conversations here on the forum where have you guys been ? Talking cars this weekend to me has been a blast to me , what do some of you have to say about this ?

We lurk in the shadows because we want to learn. I spent a few years on LS1Tech before I made my first thread or comment. Tons of information out there and the search feature is heaven-sent.

Lots of lurking going on, kind of comes in spurts for me, I took a few months away from the forums cause of work, but as soon as I start visiting I start spending money, go figure.

Agreed. I have been a member since June when I got my first Vette. I have used this forum for tons of great info and look at it everyday. It was here that I found DD mods and was able to install a new HU with amp and sub on my own and it has been been a life saver to have this forum and great info. Next step is wheels. My wife still can't understand why I haven't made up my mind with the amount of time I spend searching on this forum. Thanks to all!

Been a member here for a few years with my C4. As others have said, I read & learned lots. Kinda like my Mama taught me - listen more than you speak! Got my C5 about a year ago & now I won't shut up!!

There's things to be learned and fun to have. Just enjoy the ride.

I think it's part of the natural cycle. I am zeroing in on 10,000 posts, so much of what I have to say has pretty much already been said.
I learn more by listening anyway. I still pop in and try to add value when I can, however I have been splitting time in the C7 forum because I want to learn as much as I can about our latest Corvette generation before I move on one when the high HP model arrives in a couple of years.
I plan to add to the stable and keep my C5, so I also plan to be an active member of the C5 forum for years to come.

I've been a member since 2004 and I don't get on as much as I used to. Sometimes you just start doing something else.

Apparently I became a member a long time ago and totally don't remember. A couple of years ago I started looking for another Corvette to be a track car and used the forum for info. A few months ago I tried to register and lo and behold I was a member. So now I try to reply when I can be of some assistance to someone. I may be a new contributor but I've owned a Corvette for 20 years.

Over about the past month or so, I have noticed a number of the forum members that were here when I joined and subsequently went quiet coming back into the some threads. Good to see them post again and hope they continue to stick around and add their comments. It's also been nice to see the number of new members joining the forum.

It's you old school guys ...
That are lurking in the dark , like a few of you have said how many times can you beat something up , regardless I have a blast being on the forum and reading , what sucks is when you think that you may have one of the best cars on here , then boom there is another member with a car that is above all expections like Rick .... I'm turning 46 in a few weeks I have a long way to go before retiring like some of you fortunately I have time during the day to read what is going on here , it does pass the time ....
