what is the tps c6 shifter for 119 all about? i would love to get rid of my stock shifter.

You get a new C/6 shifter (only) to be added to your shifter box.
The shaft has been cut down (shorter) & has been threaded to
9/16"-18 ... Which would allow C/5 owners to use any **** for a C/5 instead of a C/6 ****.

would this be as good as any other shifter change out?. Im a newbie and the stock shifter in the C5 is terrible.

The C6 shifter is a huge improvement over the C5 shifter. I have a C6 shifter in my Z06 and I love it. If you like a smooth shift with little effort then the C6 shifter is for you.

I believe the TPS shifter is a C6 Z06 shifter. The one I have has a bent shaft that benefits taller drivers. It is a bit too close to me but the shifting action is just the right blend of short-throw and shift effort. You really can't go wrong for the price.
