If you had to pick between a 2004 Competition Orange Cobra and a 2001 Speedway White/Mod Red Corvette Z06, which would it be? Figure that prime examples of each could be had for ~$25k.
Now put on your Nostradomus hat, which is worth more in 20 years? Watching Mecum this past weekend has got me thinking about adding another car to my stable.
I'm someone who would rather have an amount of cash like that ($25k) tied up in a car that I believe would appreciate as opposed to sitting in cash or in a CD. I'm not a stock market guy, I've never trusted that system, especially not these days.

I voted for 2001 Speeway White Z not because I have a Corvette, but because I myself almost bought a 2001 Speedway White Z06, but found my 2000 FRC at a steal! ($6500 off out the door for $26,500, 8 years ago).
Nothing like gear jamming in a Z vs riding high on a bar stool in the Cobra. Hahahaha
I voted for the speedway white Z06, just because I love the white z06's. I'm not really a mustang guy, although my wife likes them. I drove a terminator and was not the slightest impressed.
I voted for the Z06, but the '04 Cobra is very quick. If it wasn't for the fact that I love the looks of the C5 Z06 so much, I would have voted for the Cobra.
I voted Cobra. CO is one of my favorite colors on them. I know it's a Vette forum etc, but I've owned an 03 10th anniversary Cobra and I regret selling that over any Vette I've owned and sold. Then again I'm not brand loyal either, I buy what I like regardless of make.
I've had both an 03 Cobra and now my SW c5z. Both cars are a blast but you really can't compare the two. If you are looking for it for an investment that's a tough one. They only made the "Terminator" for 2 years, while the c5z was for 4. The build number for the CO cobras was 281, I believe. And the SW c5z was 352, if I remember correctly. But at the end of the day a Corvette will almost always be worth more than a Mustang. Just my $.02.
def a hard decision. i absolutely love the comp orange cobra's but it's hard to beat a z06 for the total package. def drive both and see what feels more comfortable. if you plan on modding and your pockets aren't really deep like myself, look into the cost of modding.

That's because you're a car guy, not a Corvette guy.
COBRA, I love those cars. If I can, I'm getting a Cobra this year or next. I'm keeping the vette though. Cobras are just mean looking! I'm a Mustang fan. I've owned four mustangs in the last ten years haha. I've owned three GT's and a V6, so a Cobra is on the to own list. If anything else, they are really reliable too btw.
