Default C5 with Corsa Pace Car & Blackwing Intake on the Dyno

I recently had my Corvette dyno-tuned for performance and I thought I'd share a few videos from the experience. For those who have never seen a C5 on the dyno, the operator brought my vehicle to 150 mph and then released the accelerator and let it coast to a stop. It was quite an adventure to watch, (and to hear! Those Corsa’s are LOUD!)

Anyway, here are three pulls on the dyno while tuning my ’04 Coupe with a Blackwing intake, Corsa Pace Car (Sport) exhaust, and NGK TR55 spark plugs:

UPDATE 01/24/13: BTW, I have an A4 with 3.15:1 Performance Axle.

I went from 308 rwhp @ 5350 rpm to 324 rwhp @ 5350 rpm.
Torque numbers were from 318 rw lb-ft @ 4600 rpm to 346 rw lb-ft @ 4050 rpm.

Was the 308 completely stock from an earlier dyno test, and the increase to 324 due to the Blackwing, Corsa, and plugs?

Just curious since my FRC has a Blackwing and Borla and I was thinking it might be similar.

Thanks

Was the 308 to 324 just from the intake, exhaust, and spark plugs? Or were those the final numbers after tuning?

I brought the car in with the intake and exhaust mounted (and no preliminary numbers, unfortunately.) They did a baseline pull (video #1) then installed the plugs and did an intermediate pull (video #2, no data available) and did the final pull after the tune (video #3.)

If that's all the mods you have on the car, that's a nice increase. Mine has the same mods but it is an A4 so I would expect mine to have lower numbers.

Don't expect that because mine's an automatic trans as well.

I do, however, have the 3.15:1 performance axle, if that makes a difference.

So the plugs and tune made the 16 rwhp change.

Very nice gains and worthwhile getting the tune after minor mods.

Thanks.

I have the same mods on my C5 as you with the A4 and 3:15 rear. Just wondering what a set of long tube headers w/o cats would add to those dyno numbers ? Anyone know ? Thanks

My 99 A4 with 3.15's has these mods:
XSPower headers with cats and full 3" cat-back XS system
Vararam
Fast 90 with LS2 TB
Crane 1.8 roller rockers
Catch can
Lew tune
Making 371HP and 383TQ. First dyno I had vararam and Diablo tune and was at 308HP and 335TQ. I am happy with everything currently.

These dyno videos are so kool.
They make me want to dyno mine. I did a mail order tune to go with my mods. No regrets but one day in the future I would like to put mine on a machine, if for no other reason but to film it. :-)

I don't plan on getting headers any time soon, but I hear they can add a significant amount of rwhp.
