Default paint color help

Getting the car repainted, it is black currently, but I'm wanting to go with a different color. Guy said it would be 2300 for the body and an additional 800 for trim, but i think I'll just leave the trim black.

I think some candy variations of red look really good like cherry and blood red, but i imagine candy will hike up the price quite a bit, need to call and find out.

Anyway I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,
Brett

2300 sure seems cheap for a complete color change.

GOOD material will be $1K, can't imagine a GOOD job being less than $6K.

That is incredibly cheap for a complete color change done right. I would want to know exactly what the body shop planned to do to the car for the price. Don't get just a cheapie job done on the car - make it look, and last, right.

That said, depending on the color of your interior, I'd go with something like an AE red or a Mag Red - those colors are beautiful. Otherwise, another choice would be something like a Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic.

Synergy Green. Nice color and for 2300 it should look great.

well, that's a totally different ball game Bill. Metal is FAR easier than glass to work with an not screw it up.

I'd want to see quite a bit of that shops work before I'd let them touch my car. Normally you get what you pay for.

That's the plan, they already invited me to come see their work with other cars.

Is there anything I should ask them?

I'd want to see other fiberglass cars they've painted. Again, it's NOT the same as doing a metal body and is MUCH easier to screw up.
