Default How quickly did you loose your jacking pucks?

I bought a set of jacking pucks a few months ago, and I kid you not, I have managed to loose 3 of the 4 within the first 2 months. Presumably because I left them on the car. I have managed with the last puck for the last 6 months though. I keep it stored in the rear cubby hole for safe keeping.

So how quickly did you loose your pucks.

I actually still have all 4 of mine. I am guilty of driving off in a pair every once a while. Luckily they're still there when i look for them.

FWIW, I painted two marks on my pucks that show me the orientation of how they are installed. That makes it a lot easier to remove..

I have BMW jacking pucks I installed on the car four years ago. I leave them in place and check to see if they're still there when I wash the car- haven't lost one yet.

Install yourself a set of rocker rails and never have to worry about pucks again.

I have jacking pucks and frame rails; I think this is the safest approach:

I still have all 4 of mine, and as many others have done, I have also been guilty of leaving one in and driving around. Luckily, it remained in place and didn't fall out. Now I keep 2 in the car at all times, 1 in the case of my low profile jack and 1 in my tool box, near my lug wrench.

Default Made 4 for less than $10 and keem then in left trunk compartment

It takes about 20 seconds to put each puck in. Made mine from hockey pucks and eye bolts. Keep them in the trunk compartment in case I have to jack up the car when not at home. Simple to install and remove. Why leave them in and loose them if they shake loose?

I forgot to take mine out once and drove to a friends and when I got there one had fallen out. I drove slow on the way home and found it sitting on the yellow line. Pulled up next to it, opened the door and grabbed it. I knew it was mine because what are the odds of someone else losing a hockey puck on the road in SE Virginia.

i always jack my car up by the front and rear cross members, so I don't use pucks.

I have the BMW pucks installed on mine too. Had them on there for over three years and never had one come off yet. They snap into the stock holes, making them easy to keep on the car all the time.

Let's see - Lost half the first set in about 6 months, lost one of the second set in about 2 months coming back from a test run, and watched another one of the second set go flying off my buddy's car in the middle of turn 7 at Sonoma. This third set seems to be doing just fine though.

You are not alone.
