How did I do?

I guess we all have different criteria when we reply to a question. In my world ,if I spend $13k on an automobile, I may not know everything about the car but I will see and check the obvious. For instance I asked about the hvac on my car before I ever saw it in person and after flying cross country to complete the sales you can be sure all the obvious was checked out before I wrote them a check. That being said I wondered if the new owner was a little bit of an impulse buyer and there could be other issues yet to be discovered.
I haven't seen any pictures and only know the details the new owner has provided but if any 01 vert with 90k on the clock is worth the $13k regardless of any issues that may exist, I bow to your knowledge.
To the new owner, if you have bought a trouble free car you did much better than ok. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

I agree with the majority here. If that's all that's wrong and you're happy with it, that's really all that matters! I just picked up my 2nd C5 yesterday and can't wait for the roads in the NE to get rid of all the winter crap.
Congrats and I hope you enjoy the h*77 out of it!
I do also agree though - pics are a must.
OH, an welcome to the addiction and forum!

Oh please tell us why "YOU" think he overpaid for this Vette? Gotta hear your words of wisdom, please!
With a statement like that you GOT to back it up! Right?
I guess you should of sold him your Vette for $8000 then and give him a better deal!
To OP - you got a good deal, enjoy your Vette and yes we need pictures!
Thanks,Matt

Congratulations! Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. The issues you described are minor & easily resolved. I've had my '02 Coupe for 18 months & it's the most fun car Ive ever had. Welcome! !

My Opinion. A new guy comes here asking how he did. Obviously he is stoked to have bought his First Corvette.. The last thing he wants to hear is some "cheerios pisser" saying he over paid... " Nice "...
It would have been much better had he said nothing..
BTW If the car has no " real problems", you did a great job.
and welcome to the Corvette Forum.. at least you have learned that not everyone who owns a Corvette and post in this forum has a brain worth picking. Ive told people for 12 years years here to be careful who they listen too in this forum.

Plus if you go through the thread - it's only the one who had that viewpoint. My '84 had 175k on it when I sold it and that SOB's still running just as tight as it ever did. (I know the guy who bought it). Take care of it, change the oil and filter religiously, don't procrastinate when something isn't right.... FIX IT and that sob will last you until you decide you want a different one...
It happens... brace for it.

Thanks for the invite, I might be there. I will admit that I missed the word vert in the first post, I read it as vette.
But I did say he did ok if those two issues are all the problems he has. I don't think I need a reality check on prices as they are all over the place as this post suggests. Have a good evening.
