for a C6?..the $3k loyalty rebate, the $2k customer cash & the $2k GM card top off is giving me an itchy trigger finger on a new G.S. Anyone else feel they may not be able to pass up these deals before Feb 28th? With my C5 trade i'd be looking at about $35k on a new 2LT GS..not a bad price for a new vette! What to do what to do....
I purchased my 2004 C5 in the summer of 2004 and scored a great deal! I'm sure the C6 generation will have similar great deals available as the year progresses and the C7 gets ready to go on sale.
I say go for it if you want a C6 GS. I love my C5 vert and GM doesn't make cars this good looking anymore so I'm hoping the C7 knocks my socks off. I would like to add a high HP stable mate in the upcoming years and I'm hoping the C7 Z06 (Z07?) is a monster! If not, I'm sure there will be some low mileage C6 Z06s available to choose from.
Whatever I do, I am going to make it work so that I keep my C5!
I do think the C5 is a beautiful classic timeless design of a car..Have no desire for a base C6 but the GS is just so bad azz looking.. with the widebody...and the 430 horse LS3 isnt bad either..

Added a 2013 Z, so, selling the FRC has been a consideration. With that being said, every time I get in the FRC, I don't want to part with her after 7 years of loyalty.
With nearly $20,000 invested in modifications, selling the FRC is more of a personal want to sell. Not a need to sell. Besides, the FRC still gets plenty of attention wherever we go. And, I am willing to bet she will hang with the new Z just as well. Two completely different body lines....that's why it is difficult to make a firm decision to part.
I'm going to hang on to mine for a while yet. Haven't owned it for a year yet and it still puts a big grin on my face when I drive it. Just spent most of the weekend detailing it. Maybe in a few years but it would have to be another Z.

If all those rebates would be accepted at Kerbeck then you may be close to $35 without a trade for a GS on their lot...plenty to choose from too.

Probably not. We toyed with the idea of moving up into an `08 or `09 convertible before we drive the Corvette Caravan next year, but I just don't think it's in the cards financially. More likely I will look for an `01 or `02 ZO6 (or earlier FRC) for the Caravan and leave the convertible home.

I was looking at Tommy's inventory at Macmulkin Chevy..He has a 2LT GS stickered at $63.6 with a $10.8k discount.. take away another $5k for GM Card & loyalty and i'm at $47.8 before trade..Kerbeck's new incentives are a joke! They went from being the leader in discounts to probably the worst on the forum..
I plan on moving to a 10-13 GS this year, maybe around Aug. Just depends on what un-expected expenses pop up between now and then. Plan on keeping the C5 for my daily driver though.
I had a Saturn Sky I bought new. Was never happy with it so I bought my C5. I like the C5 more than most Vettes. I do like the C3 better for looks. I think it's because it was the current Vette when I grew up. When I decided the Sky had to go I wanted a Vette Vert. I like the C5 much better than the C6 but I hated the manual top more than I can ever explain. So I got a 3LT C6 vert. All I can say is it's a nice car and all but the C5 is better in many ways. Having both is cool. If one ever has to go it will not be the C5. And I have no desire to add things to the C6 like I do with the C5. It just doesn't seem worth it. I did get Lloyds Mats and a color matched spoiler but that will be it. Like the Sky it will be a nice day car only. Not worth diving unless the top is down. Not the case with the C5.
