Default my new years resolution is lsx 454

will be sitting in the engine bay by the end of the day.i pulled motor out of the monte and shes on the jack.

Wow, I was eyeballing the 376 but the 454 is a behemoth!

i built this motor from a bare block.has lsa /ls3 heads.12.5 to1 compression.scat crank,eagle rods,wiesco pistons.should run mid 9s on a 200 hit.we will find out shortly.lol

ok boys and girls,lsx in planted in my vette.i got some pics,so if you are gunna install a lsx block in your c 5 there are a few things,you have to modify.a/c braket.pass side motor mount braket.and altinator bracket.here we go.

It's in "Albums", not the garage.

Went in the top with it eh. Is that common with Vettes (I don't know). My experience with F-Body engine jobs is that you lift the car off instead of pulling the motor up. Thought Vettes might be easier the same way.

Look'n good! Mucho fun on the way there.

i do the f body`s out the top also.ive been pulling motors for 30 yrs.i have vette motors out in a hour.lol

4th gen f-body out the top? Cause, that's a tight squeeze. Much easier out the bottom on them. Looks like there's a lot more room to do one that way on the C5 Vette.
