Default Deadly crash of a C5 in Houston

Not sure if this guy was a member but I saw this accident on 290 this morning, it was a red C5 with bad damage to the drivers side. He hit the wall and then was T-boned by a truck as he got out of the car.

His name was Joshua Kirkland.

This was in the Houston Chronicle's Web site.

Sheriff's officials at the scene tell the Chronicle that the driver of a red Corvette lost control about 4:15 a.m. Monday while westbound on U.S. 290, hit the wall and landed in a traffic lane. The driver got out, went to the left shoulder of the road, but returned to the wrecked car. At that point, authorities say, a pickup slammed into the Corvette.

I hope it wasn't to retrieve his smart phone.

You could be right about the phone. 4:15 am and going back to a vehicle in a traffic lane, Man 290 is insane!

Very sad! RIP.

I might just be getting older, however as a married man and father of two children, I've come to the slow realization that the odds of anything "good" happening to me between the hours of 12AM and 6AM are very little so my *** is home!

It was a different story when I was 25 so I feel for the grieving family!

Couldnt have said it better myself...like to think nothing good ever happens after midnight! I must be getting older too. Still a sad story and just around Christmas too.

Yeah me too. Chris Rock bit says something about if you are at an ATM at 2AM it can't be for nothing good. Iregaurdless of that, too bad for this misfortune.
