EVO II US Installed-my Xmas Gift to me!! (Some Pics included)
UPDATED- SORRY FOR THE MESS WITH THE PICS, NOT SURE WHAT THE DEAL WAS!!.
Merry Christmas and soon to be Happy New Year!!. Well after much thought and sitting in different seats and measuring I decided to go ahead and jump into this project with the seats. I almost decided to wait until Spring but since winter has been somewhat mild here I went ahead and got out there and installed these items. WHY NOT!!!
Background: I found this car earlier in 2012 for sale on EBAY. I recognized the car for an old Corvette Fever article and cover from 2002 and also a repost of the same article in 2009; it was Doug Plette's "Snowman" and at the time it had all of the bells and whistles. I checked all the info and it was the car; ran the Carfax and made some calls. You see this is the first cover that got me interested in getting my first Vette. Here is the article in case you may be curious: http://www.corvettefever.com/feature...olet_corvette/
More info on the parts used:
Seats: EVO II US : http://www.sparcousa.com/product/evo-ii-us
Sparco Harness: http://www.sparcousa.com/product/2-inch-3pt-bolt
Marrad C5/C6 Brackets with side mounts and sliders:http://www.arizenracingsports.com/pr...?prod=C56MBRWS
The car had a custom roll cage already and the stock receivers and seat belt assemblies were already removed. I put in a set of EVO II US on a set of Marrad (formerly Arizen) Brackets on Sliders with a set of Sparco bolt in harnesses.
For those of you who are curious on the fit I'm 5'11" 235lbs, 40 in waist. I fit in the EVO II US even with a linebacker lower body. It is snug in all the right places these seats should be to keep your stable at speed cornering and driving. I can shift without issue, getting in and get out is-this car is not meant for daily driver so although it is a bit of a pain in the rear it is not too difficult of a task. The seats fit in the car and once set up and measure, they will not even touch the doors and you should be able to move th seat forward and backwards on the sliders. These Marrad brackets made the process much easier and provide plenty of head room in my opinion just ensure you play with the brackets in the car without the setas on first to ensur eyou line them up properly. I would then suggest once you have the. I took pictures of the spacing and sides of the seats facing the the doors.
Any way so this what I worked on for a couple of days last week, I just could not wait so I took a chance and today I took it for a drive with the seats on for the first time and HOLLY S&%T what a difference. I will say that not having to worry about sliding or getting thrown around is amazing and truly does let you feel how well this car does handle. Almost an unreal sense of security. !!

I'm curious why the OP chose to go with the Evo's instead of the Corbeau A4's. The Corbeau's look like the better choice to me, and cost much less too.

Good looking seats - a very nice Christmas present indeed.

I was back and forth between the two, in my case I just liked the race look as well as how it felt when I sat in the EVO IIs. Either seat would have worked in this case, just a matter of preference in this case.

Thank you all for the compliments...
The color combo worked out great and it will match some things I plan on doing to the engine compartment as well later in 2013.
Thanks again folks and just in case HAPPY 2013!!
