Very impressive build, that is going to be a blast once it's all together! Nothing like a quality spare-no-expense N/A build, especially seeing it put into a C5Z!

I think you will especially like that TR6060. I recently went that direction when my built MN12 broke a main shaft and I couldn't be happier. Shifts like butter now, with my RSD short shifter, it feels much nicer than the shifter in my BRZ or my old S2000. Can shift with 1 finger if you want to.

I never realized the C5 B&B Fusion was 3", is that something new they make or was it a custom request? Or am I just dumb and it was always 3"? Either way, very curious to hear your opinions of it.

My setup is the same except that I have a LS7 block. I get about 1500 miles/quart if I am nice to it. Golen is going to bore it +.005 to clean up the bore and use new coated pistons.

That's great to hear. Just about everyone I've ever talked to with a stroker motor has burned at least some oil. That was the biggest reason behind using a new stock internals LS7 crate motor for my 427ci build, not having to worry about that.

I change the oil at 3k miles and it's still not needing any. Shawn Miller built my engine and used nitrited rings which should wear very little over a long time up against the super hard Darton liners.

What I save in oil I more than make up for in gas...

Your right, I have one season on the TR6060 with my old 427cid setup and you can pretty much shift with one finger at any RPM - it is a great upgrade from the T56. I'm using a MGW shifter which I really like.

The 3" C5 Fusion is a custom order from B&B. The trick to get all the potential power to the ground on a big cube N/A build requires the EGT's to remain at reasonable level. Full flow 3" is really the only way to get the exhaust gas out of the combustion chamber quickly, resulting in lower temps.

As far as sound goes I am not to sure what to expect. I know in 'loud mode' it is going to be very loud. But in 'quiet mode' my hope is that it will be Police friendly. I will be posting idle and chassis dyno clips in both modes.

You may want to consider 'lateral gas ports' as an option on your pistons. My understanding is that it will help to push the ring against the cylinder bore thereby reducing the risk of oil burning. They also claim it is good for 7 to 10hp - which is really good value when looking at $/hp.

I've run a couple 2.5 inch catbacks one the 403 build with DMH cutouts also. The difference with the cutouts open on the dyno was 12-15rwhp IIRC. It would probably be a little more with the 427. I now run LG's Big 3 catback and the difference with the cutouts open is now only 1 or 2 RWHP. They aren't too loud and sound good. Now I'm 3 inches from the AR 17/8 LT collector to the tips.

Shawn may have used them...not sure on that though. I'll have to go back and look at my notes. It's a pretty well optimized build.

That is awesome!!!

I was not really sure what to expect in added HP. I will be 3 inches from my Kooks 17/8 collector to tip as well.

I think the cam on the 107lsa will be a bit of a beast in rush hour traffic.

I would love to hear a sound clip of the motor!

Wondering how aggressive it sounds!

Thanks,Matt
