Default Let's see your pets that ride shotgun

This is my "apple head" Chihuahua, Monkey. He loves going for car rides. The flat back/storage area is absolutely perfect for him. He sits between the seats and watches everything pass by.

Funny thing is if I go to 7-11, Safeway, etc and I engage the ebrake he knows it's not his destination and doesn't move. If I drive to the dog park and ebrake, he knows it's his destination and instantly jumps in my lap and is ready to party.

Note his monkey bed.

Let's see your car pets!

No pics of him in the Corvette, but I have some from him riding in the 3000GT.

Maybe if I got a seat cover and a harness so he couldn't put his paws up I'd let him ride in the Corvette. We have a harness that attaches to the seat belt, but he is still mobile with it on.

Cute doggie! What's his name?

I finally purchased a harness from Amazon. Like yours, it plugs into the seatbelt receptacle or the "LATCH" system in our cars.

Monkey is too short to see out the window if he's standing on his hind legs, so he mostly sits in the rear to get a better view.

Mine's too damn big.

He gets the whole back of the van. He doesn't fit in the Corvette.

Mine prefers to drive... and she takes it very seriously.

And here's the dirty looks she gives when forced to ride shotgun!
