Plast-Dip Mod Red Interior
OK, so i know that there are a few folks in here that are anti PD, but i had mentioned one of my recent mods in another thread and instead of adding on and hijacking that thread, i decided to go ahead and generate a new post.
i have been wanting to have the mod red interior in my verted z0 for a long time and i either would miss out on a set for sale or the prices were just not in my budget....or both lol.
so since i have already found a few uses for Plasti-Dip on my car, i decided to give it a shot with the red on my door panels, knee bolsters and glove box.
i figured if the results were less than satisfactory, i could always peel it off.....no harm, no foul.
so i started with my glove box door and crossed my fingers.
i am very happy with the way it turned out and no one has been the wiser unless i tell them.
so here are the results:
general overview of the driver's side:
general overview of the pass. side:
close-up of the speaker grill and since the Bose stuff is long gone, i added my own custom touch:
so i know people shudder to think of taking some kind of rattlecan to their pride and joy, but given the situation, i was willing to take a risk.

I really like the job you did but didn't spraying the speaker grilles fill in all the tiny holes therefore blocking the sound from the speaker?

It does look great. How do you think it will hold up?

You did a great job with the PD. Let us know how well it holds up over time.
