Default Vett tray and partition

I found the file on here, and printed it using a big drafting printer. for a partition. Made 2 of them (one for a buddy) out of 3/4 inch MDF, and black carpet. they turned out great. But I was also thinking about a vette tray. So i made my own out of left over MDF.

it turned out pretty good. The cup holders are 1 buck each at a local Marine/ boating store. the shapes I used for the cut outs are a drip pan on a large breakfast grittle. 3 peaces of MDF stacked, and cut out to match and all sanded and attached as one piece.

Will post pic of the 2 ain the car together in the next day or so.
The best part is i have 30 bucks in both the partition and the tray.

Thanks man. and while its was not hard to make I dont have any more MDF, and really the time to make one is not there. i was just trying to make partition for me and a bud and then got a wild hair to make this for me. he wants one too, and i am not to enthused.

the time/ money i would make is not there. i saved my self 100-150 bucks, but even if you paid me that much (which you could get a real one for that much) i would probably pass.

I will say the company i use for carpeting, (local stereo shop/speaker box builder) can recreate MDF like a champ and talked about copping it, and selling them.

Looks awesome! Curious how heavy the tray is considering it is MDF? The one I have from an online vendor is made of some kind of pressed styrofoam, so it's super light. Probably a half a pound...

Its MDF, but since most of it is just the outer frame its not really heavy. I can weight it tonight. but it probabyl 3-5 lbs? if that? so nothing you will ever notice.

That turned out nice. I might have to copy your design but I'm thinking about adding hinges and lids. Very nice indeed!
