Today, around 6:00 PM eastern time, I will be selling my beautiful Electron Blue Convertible to a great guy from the midwest. On October 21st, 2001 my wife and I first met our 2002 EB Vert sitting in the NCM floor ready for delivery. What an experience. For over ten years I can count the times it was in the rain, mainly at Carlisle events, it now has a mere 30,103 miles on the odometer. I used on Zanio on the car, and did a lot of work to make it special.
Both my wife and I hate to part with this car, but its time. I still have my 1963 SWC, which obviously eases the pain, but its not a 2002 Vert.
So why sell? Simple, time is right, selling to a guy that I know will keep the car in great condition and will love driving as much as I, and most of all saving up for the C7. YEP, I will purchase the second year of production a C7. I will patiently wait for the hype to pass, the above added on dealers price, and the first year bugs to all be gone. It will be hard, but all for the better.
I know I have not posted very much here lately, but did during the C5 years and shared much infomation as we learned about the C5 during those years.
I will still be around in the OT and C1 & 2 sections and sometimes in the C7 area.
You are gaining a new C5 member, so I know he will enjoy talking about his new car.
Best of luck to all C5 owners, FYI, still think the C6 is nothing more than a warmed over C5 or as we use to call it a C5.5,,,,

Sorry to see you sell the C5, but I can understand wanting to save up for a C7. Best of luck to you.
