My babe got hit at Twin Pine Casino...
Parked my C5 corvette at Twin Pine Casino in Middletown California. Woke up Sat. morning and saw two white notes on my windshield and driver's window. Someone in a GMC truck backed and smashed my left rear quarter panel, right under the gas filler. No other damage.
Some nice people saw the whole thing and stopped the guy from driving off. So I made contact with him. Now the question..
Does anyone know of a good Corvette body shop in Contra Costa County, even in Concord so I can have them do a great job on the repair. The guys insurance is the same as mine (Farmers) so it will be fixed. I just want a shop that Vette friendly. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Ouch

Sorry about the damage. And while it is nice that two people stepped up and stopped the guy from driving off, the fact that he may not have stopped anyway is pathetic. Good luck getting the car repaired.

My car was hit in April and the sick feeling I had is still fresh on my mind. I know I know its just a car but darn it for some of us they are our dream car. Nice thing about these cars is the is that the quarter pannel just bolts on so fixing it doesn't require cutting and welding on your baby. I'm sure when you find the right body shop you will have her back looking good in no time.

Sorry that your C5 was hit. Sadder that the guy who hit it would have gotten away with it if someone else hadn't stepped in. Unfortunately, we now live in a "whatever you can get away with" society.

Thanks guys, found a good auto body shop in concord, "Jim's Auto Shop", called and they are Corvette friendly and back their work 100% guarrantee for life. I also call the dude and finally got his insurance information, Some off the wall "high risk" insurance company that was recommended by Farmers. So it's looking good so far. I'll update the repairs here, photo's and end results... Thanks for all the kind words...

Yea, the thought of getting a wide rear fender flares had crossed my mind, BUT, I love the stock look and if I start modifying the rear, then the front will need something.. I'll just leave it stock for now. The claims adjuster came, all is going well. Went to "Jim's" and we both looked at the damages together. My adjuster there, Steve, will get the best parts and do the best installation and paint deserving of my ride. Parts should be in by next week and in she goes for the repairs.. thanks all, I'll try to make the next ride. Appreciate all the feedback, best forum, great people, feel the love...

Had the exact same thing happen to me in Houston, but the dude that hit me left a note.
Paid for all the damages...I was amazed!
My '05 CTS-V was victim of a nasty hit and run...wasn't as lucky that time.

I have a shop that I would normally recommend, but they are painting the front of my car right now (VERY old lady backed into it when the car was parked in front of my house)....and the shop is having quality control issues. I am not happy I won't have my car this weekend. I am forcing them to re-spray parts of it. And they got over-spray on the doors.
