Matte Stripes
I've looked all over and can't find anyone that has done racing stripes in a matte finish clear vinyl. So I decided to get some vinyl and so far I've tested it by doing fender stripes. I plan on doing the racing stripes in a few weeks once my brother cuts the stripes with his machine. I'll update once I've finished. Here's the test run. Let me know what you guys think.

I prefer a bolder look for the stripes, but there is nothing wrong with the subtle look. Looking forward to seeing your car with the final product installed.

I've got a vinyl cutter at work, so I took the "Corvette font" and put it to good use on mine.
Also, yes, I made it angled backwards instead of forwards. I wanted something different, and the text was a bit too crammed in with it facing forward.

I like the "matte" look ! Its "clean" and "subtle".
Kinda my style, and not in your face.
I often thought some matte silver stripes would look cool, or hash stripes on the fender.
I love the flat black stripes on the black Mustang Super Snakes...
Looking good !

Plasitdip Clear would probably do it. Look on youtube, I saw a guy spray a whole BMW M3 white. You can tape it and spray it. If you mess up or don't like it, peel it off.

Funny you should mention Plastidip. That's what I have on my wheels right now. Was thinking of trying to do the stripes with the clear, but I wasn't sure if it'd give it a matte finish or not. Either way I already got 10 yards of the clear matte vinyl for $50 (my brother makes stickers for his business so he has a wholesale account to buy it). On another note with Plastidip, I recently got 2 cans of smoke color in the mail, gonna try it on my tail lights.
