One of my favorite episodes of Top Gear was the one where they did the fuel mileage test on a Prius vs an M3.

$5.00 a gallon, mine sits a lot more than she is driven. I've got a C5z exhaust sitting in my dad's shop waiting for the exhaust mod. Either that'll go on her, or I'll give it to my old man and take my old Borla Stingers off his A4 coupe and give my 402 a bit more Bark.

I mod mine to keep things fresh.
Or, like others, I drive my winter car (1996 civic 100hp) for 5 months of the year roughly. When I get back in the Vette it feels great (600hp)
Get an A&A kit.

Not yet. I did the Harley and boat thing and lost interest in them so I guess it could happen. My attention now has shifted to building an S10 drag truck with the spare 406 boat motors.
The Vette will stay stock and I've resisted the urge to take it down the track. It's just such a great cruiser and head turner. I could just see it, it doesn't turn the number it's suposed to and then I'm obsessed with messing with it. Been down that road with my other cars

Not bored here either.
Last week I took the Corvette my local dealer to get the NC safety inspection renewed. While the car was in the service area I walked out and looked at the 3 new 2013 Corvettes, parked on display in a row, in front of the showroom. One was what I'm guessing is some sort of 60th Anniversary car-a white 427 Convertible, with a window sticker just shy of 100 grand. The other two cars had stickers in the $70,000-80,000 neighborhood. All the while I was looking, three salesmen were standing behind the cars and paid me no attention. I guess the didn't view me as "Corvette Material" (which was just fine with me).
As I was walking back toward the service waiting area, the tech was bringing my 03 back around to the service lane. I got a nice full frontal view of my Corvette coming through the parking lot, paint shining and the DRLs nicely setting off the car on an overcast day. I thought, "man, I could drive that car forever." I caught the tech as he was walking the ticket and keys back into Ron, the service writer, and asked him if everything checked out okay. He said that it did, and complimented me on the car. My response was that after just seeing the window stickers on the 2013s I like it even more than I did when I brought it in for the inspection.

Sadly, after 13 or 14 years, they have a "Top Gear USA", which simply sucks. Why they didn't just air the BBC version here is beyond me.

Bored?, No. To keep it fun take it to a roadcourse. No speed limits, no red lights, no moms in soccer vans, no cross streets. Just you, the car, and 15-20 other like minded people with machines driving to the best of their abilities. Take an hour break between each 30 minute session, no stress from work, wife kids family, or life in general. Street driving is boring, you cannot drive the car anywhere near the limits of its potential. Do this at least once every month or two and the car will never get boring.

Hey, any time I hear Prius mentioned in the same sentence with any sports car, it brings me back to "Top Gear". I've only ever seen the show via Youtube and Netflix (No cable TV at home). Funny? Omg, they're great. They're a bit hard on American cars, but it's no different than some of our opinions of Foreign cars.
