Default 99 Underhood convenience lamps

Hey guys,

My grandfather has a 1999 vert and the underhood light doesn't work. Originally I thought it was just unplugged like the lights were on my C4, but when I looked closer, I noticed that there was no bulb in place.

Anyways, I went out to buy the bulb to fix the light for him today and I found the right bulb (Sylvania 561). When I went to put the bulb in, it turned on when it made contact, but the bulb itself was too small to stay inside. I think there might be parts missing in the housing itself. Do you guys have any pictures of a complete housing so I can tell if my grandfather's is missing something? I will upload pictures of his housing tomorrow after work.

Thanks in advance,
-Jay

Here's a couple of pics of the inside of my underhood lamp. Hope it helps.

Make sure the prongs aren't bent back.

Agreed, Try to see if you can bend the prongs slightly to accommodate the new bulb.
