I bought a Navy Blue convertible last year. It has the Light Oak top and interior. I never had any burning desire to buy a C5 since I have a number of other preformance cars. I had worked on number of C5's for friends doing maintenance and diagnostics on electrical issues and had driven several. However my friend a car dealer said his banker wanted to sell his C5 to get a car for his daughter. I looked at it, took it home and checked it out and bought it. I only bought it because of the color combination. The wife had been telling me to sell my worn out Crown Victoria and get a nice relaiable car. So I did. She now tells her friends to be more specific when you give your husband instructions. It was in mint condition, garage kept, and looks good in my garage. I like the fact that it actually can appear to be 4 different colors under different light conditions. Metallic blue, metallic purple, dark solid blue, and solid black.

Me too. Had to have it.
As dadaroo says, it has a lot of flop in it. FWIW, when it came time for paint, I used the PPG "lighter than" variance. The prime formula was way too dark and looked like too much black.

Yep, my favorite color too! I have a NBM vert with the same wheels but just light oak instead of black. Familiar looking picture you have there.... and very sexy classy looking! Smooooooooth!!

Don't mean to be a snob, but the official name of the color is Navy Blue Metallic -- NBM for short. The most beautiful color Corvette there is
Great Choice

Supposedly something like 529 Verts in NBM for 99. Most common comment I get is "love the color, never saw one like that before". I just say "yeah that's why I bought it"

Memphisblu, NBM is correct, thanks. Sorry about the pix, but I haven't figured out what I'm doing wrong a Photobucket. I love the look of these vettes!
