Emmisions Test
Just passed my emissions test for the FaKing government.

Tried to get a new Inspection Sticker for the Vett last week. For the first time on any vehicle we have owned it showed "Nor Ready" on Evap. , 02 Sensor and Catalyst. Shop said to drive it 100-150 miles and come back. So I did that. They tested it again and the Evap. and the Catalyst were still "Not Ready". I took it to the shop who has been servicing the family cars for years.....a bunch of great guys. They said several of their steady customers had gotten the same thing occasionally with one guy that had a Jag and had to drive 700+ miles before all systems were ready.
I now have driven 351 miles and it still shows "not Ready" on the Evap and Catalyst. This is about to drive me nuts.
We have 10 days from the first test to fix whatever is wrong or pay the $26.50 test fee and start all over. I have been carrying the papers in the car just in case I get stopped by the Police and receive a ticket.
Any suggestions?

I don't know of any inspection station that has a roller system. Ours are mostly at oil and lub stations. There are a couple of Dyno stytems but they don't do inspections.

P.S I did the GM Driving thing two times, both on a cold start up and that didn't work either. The 02 sensor is ready after the first 100 miles..

If you disconnect the battery or reset ANY CODES before you go in, all the I/M tests will also go "Not Ready". The EVAP test runs when the tank is about 1/2 empty by the way.

I'm still stuck with the two not ready. Driven over 400 miles of mixed driving and did the GM system twice. The repair shop where we take all family cars for general stuff has been scanning the Computer for me and yesterday suggested he clear the Not ready items and then go to an inspection station and try again. He said one of their customers with a Jag sedan had to drive over 700 miles to get the not ready items to go away.
