Outdoor Car Covers - C5 Corvette

Drifting
I think double bagging is a valid idea. I plan to to double bag mine as the inner will protect the car from the outer. My car lives in a dusty Las Vegas carport. Under a roof but still exposed. Rain is not an issue for me. It just doesn't rain much in Vegas.

I live in Houston Texas so it's hot , humid , and extremely hot. Unfortunately I don't have a garage so I'm in desperate need of a good reflectant but not too abrasive and breathable cover for my vette. What do you recommend?

Most covers sheet off rain, but they are not waterproof. Breathability
is the most important thing...
Feel free to PM me exactly what you are looking for and I can help you
out

Thanks Chip for your reply. I was just worried about the cover getting wet and getting the car wet too. What is the best cover that you would recommend? Thanks, Bobbie

If you want Ding and Dent protection too - Go with the Covercraft Noah

Safety Car
I use a double cover, but as a sun protection. I have a full fitted cover that stays tight, that I wouldn't want to be without, plus another generic one size fits some cover on top that will blow around and occasionally blow off.
I like a white sun cover, but the better outside covers don't come that way, so I am using a Tyvek non woven plasticsized paper cover that slowly degrades in the sun, but looks better to my eye than the other color choice, reflective silver which is available in better and more durable covers. About the only thing I can say positive about this choice is that it has kept my good cove nice and protected, and the loose fit allows some air to circulate under the cover when in a breeze, helping the cause.
I am in the market to replace my white top cover , so clicked in here . My strategy is not perfect, the top cover is almost a throw away, as most Tyvek is designed to be. I just prefer the more organic look of weathered white over silver/grey in the same condition.
I like two covers, one for regular needs, and another light cover for parking in the sun away from home. With trunk space being what it is, a thin cover packs better .

That's the only one I am aware of

Safety Car
Not married to what I am doing now, it is just that the car came with a crappy cover in white, and I put it on top of the good cover I bought , as the good cover is darker. I like that it is protecting the good cover, but if it is messing up the car, it defeats the point of the cover.

let out moisture beneath the cover. Often two covers traps moisture
and lets it sit on the paint. It hot weather climates, this is a bad thing...
