Would it be sacrilege to sell my wheels for scrap?

I would try to sell them first before even considering scrapping them. Someone most likely will want them for some project they are doing.

I have a set of new OEM wheels from my '04. My son has an '06 Jetta. The 18 and 19 wheels fit the Jetta? What mods and tires do you need to "make" them fit? He's been wanting new rims and if they fit, I have them for him.

I saw an ad not long ago for a set of wagon wheels for $300. I would think that you should be able to market them for at least $100. Put them on CL and see what happens. For the right price there might be a Camero owner who wants them or maybe a used Corvette dealer that's got a car with some really ugly aftermarket stuff. What have you got to lose?

Keep them, you never know if you get a damaged rim and you have to take it off for repairs.
