Lots of New Mods, Lots of Pics and Lots of Thanks!!!
I've been really busy over the past three years in personalizing my C5 convertible. It started with a complete HID/LED exterior lighting conversion in 2010. I then overhauled the interior in 2011. In 2012 my focus was on the exterior and some additional performance improvements.
I believe that every good plan has to have an end goal in mind so with the installation of my new CCW wheels a few weeks ago, I have completed all of the mods I set out to accomplish. I'm sure I will continue to tweak the car as long as I own it, however at this point, I consider myself 99% done and now just plan to drive it, enjoy it and re-distribute my "mod money" into the "buy a C6/C7 Z06 stablemate fund".
Edit - I am planning one more mod and that is a new camera!
In addition to the mods shown below, I installed a set of Koni FSD shocks, Z06 sway bars, a Corsa X-pipe, RAAM Audio sound/heat insulation kit and an Elite Engineering thermal tunnel plate all topped off with a Chuck/C.O.W. tune.
The Forum vendors are well represented on this car and I would like to thank them for providing quality products and services. Those vendors include;
- Double D Mods
- Vette Essentials
- JW Motoring
- CCA
- Down South Vettes (DSV)
- RPI Designs
- Corvette Garage
- Corvette Guys
- Creative Engine Covers
- Mid America
- Corvette Central
- Corvette Mods
- Sac City Corvettes
- West Coast Corvettes
I would also like to thank all the forum members with who I exchanged information, especially the following members who provided great technical assistance, feedback, guidance, and ideas;
- Patches
- Toque
- Blitzkrieg
- Mr. Bill
- The Radio Flyer
- JMC
- Tomboy
- Cozmo
- Blue Dragon
- Pewter 99
- Qwik Z01
- TR6Speed
- SLVRZ06
- Johnson 92
- Yello1
- Stalion
- BHRZ06
- JBondFL
On to the pictures...
Custom Paint and the World Famous "Blitzkrieg Deck Lid/Waterfall Mod":
Interior Mods:
Racemesh:
HID/LED Lighting:
I installed these air-induction fog light grills when I installed the Callaway Honker CAI
Engine Bling: (I definitely tried to stick to the "less is more" strategy)
A Little Trunk Bling:
Caravaggio Spoiler & CCW 505a Wheels:
Looked like rain, so I put the top up.
